Why Do Our Bottles Look Different? Hotel vs Retail Explained
If you’ve recently purchased from our Cityscape range and noticed the bottles look different from the ones you remember using during your stay, don’t worry, you’re not alone. It’s a common question, and we completely understand the confusion.
Let’s clear things up.
Same Product, Same Scent, Just a Different Design
First and most importantly:
You have received the correct product.
The formulation and fragrance you know and love, Jasmine, Citrus, & Gardenia, remain exactly the same across both hotel and retail versions. Nothing about the scent or quality has changed.
So why do they look different?
Hotel Bottles vs Retail Bottles
The difference comes down to design and labeling.
Hotel Bottles (Accommodation Use):
- Designed for simplicity and quick recognition
- The fragrance is listed clearly on the front
- Example: Jasmine, Citrus, & Gardenia
Retail Bottles (Take-Home Version):
- Designed with a more premium, ingredient-focused approach
- The front label highlights minerals and enriching ingredients instead
- Example: Vitamin E, Calcium, and Magnesium
- Why Isn’t the Scent on the Retail Bottle?
We know this can be confusing at first glance, especially since ingredients like Vitamin C, Calcium, and Magnesium clearly aren’t scents.
On retail packaging, these are featured to highlight the benefits and nourishing properties of the product, rather than the fragrance profile.
So Where Can You Find the Scent?
Even though it’s not front and center on the retail bottle, the fragrance is still easy to find:
- In the product images (look for the small green bubble)
- Below the product image on the product page
- In the product description
- Within the ingredients list
- Under the product name in smaller text
Finding the Scent in the Ingredients
If you ever want to confirm the fragrance through the ingredient list, look for the essential oils used:
- Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Fruit Oil → gives a fresh, slightly citrusy/spicy note (part of the citrus impression)
- Limonene → a naturally occurring compound found in citrus peels (strong citrus/orange/lemon scent note)
-
Fragrance (Parfum) → this is the main carrier of the designed scent profile, including Jasmine and Gardenia accords
These are the natural components that create the signature scent you experienced during your stay.
Final Thoughts
While the packaging may differ between hotel and retail versions, the experience remains the same.
Only the presentation has changed.
